Terms of use

Version 2.0 · Effective [launch date] · Last reviewed 17 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and [Privami Limited]. By creating an account you agree to them. Recruitment agencies also sign a separate agency agreement.

1. Who can use Privami

You must be 18 or older and give us accurate information. One account per person. Don't add someone else's details.

2. What Privami does

Privami lets job seekers say, privately, that they'd hear about the right role. Recruiters see their work details without a name and can ask to meet them about a specific role. A name and contact details are shared only when the job seeker says yes. We are not an employer or a recruitment agency. We don't guarantee that you'll receive requests, interviews or a job, or that a role or job listing is accurate or still open.

3. If you're a job seeker

4. If you're a recruiter

5. If you're an employer

6. Everyone

7. Fees

Privami is free for job seekers and employers. Agency pricing is set out in the agency agreement.

8. Other websites

Job listings link to employers' and job boards' own sites. Their terms and privacy policies apply there, and we're not responsible for their content.

9. Intellectual property

We own the Privami software and brand. Job listings belong to the employers who publish them. You own the information you give us, and allow us to use it only as our privacy policy describes.

10. Consumer law

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that can't be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986 (New Zealand) or the Australian Consumer Law. If you use Privami for business purposes in New Zealand, you agree the Consumer Guarantees Act doesn't apply, to the extent the law allows.

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we provide Privami "as is" and aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you or others make based on requests, matches or listings. Where our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee can be limited, it's limited to supplying the service again. Nothing here limits liability for negligence causing death or personal injury, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law.

12. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time on the Your data page in the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will usually warn you first unless there's a security or legal risk.

13. Changes

We give at least 14 days' notice of important changes. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before they take effect.

14. Law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law. If you're a consumer living in Australia, you also keep the protection of the Australian Consumer Law and can bring a claim in your state or territory.
